Memorable Manitobans: William Robert Lawson (1865-?)Farmer. Born at Crediton, Huron County, Ontario on 13 August 1865, he came to Manitoba in 1898, eventually farming 800 acres. On 26 February 1902, he married Elisabeth McNaught. They had four sons and a daughter. He was a member of the Council of the Rural Municipality of Pembina for ten years and a school trustee for eight years. A Methodist, he lived at La Riviere, Manitoba.
