Cleric.
Born in Westminster Township, Middlesex County, Ontario on 15 February 1877, son of William Laidlaw and Margaret Wilson, he was educated at the Middlesex county schools, London Collegiate, University of Toronto, Glasgow United Free Church College (Scotland), and Knox College (Toronto). He served as Assistant Pastor of Knox Church at Woodstock (Ontario), St. Andrew's Church at Belleville (Ontario), St. Paul's Presbyterian Church at Brandon (?-1916), and Knox Presbyterian Church at Winnipeg (1916-1924). On 28 June 1905, he married Mary Veronica Dunlop (?-?) and they had one son. He was a member of the Canadian Club of Winnipeg. His recreations included golf and tennis. He was called to Toronto in 1924 and subsequently served at Iroquois Falls. He retired in 1943 and died in 1949.
