Memorable Manitobans: Donald William Kydon (1934-2003)Educator. Born at Paterson, New Jersey on 2 June 1934, he attended Johns Hopkins University (BSc), McMaster University (PhD), and Oxford University (Postdoctoral Fellow). He came to Winnipeg where he became a Professor of Physics at the University of Winnipeg. He also served as a member of the Science Council of Canada (1981-1984), was Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Winnipeg (1981-1984), and received an award for teaching excellence.
