Singer, musician, actor.
Born at Winnipeg on 14 February 1923, he became a band singer in 1939. After the Second World War, he was trombonist and chief male vocalist with the Mart Kenny Band from 1949 to 1952. He later starred in CBC-TV’s Cross Canada Hit Parade and sang in musicals at Rainbow Stage in the 1950s. He made several LP recordings, conducted his own band, ran a talent agency, and farmed 50 acres near Stouffville, Ontario. He died at Toronto on 11 December 1975.
