Investment broker.
Born at Regina, Saskatchewan in 1905, son of Darold and Susan Knight, he attended high school in Winnipeg. After graduation, he joined the investment firm of Wood Gundy and spent 42 years at its Regina, Vancouver, and Winnipeg offices. He retired as a director of the company in 1965. He served on the boards of the National Trust Company, Winnipeg Free Press, and Inland Cement Company.
He and wife Clarissa Caroline “Clare” Cowdry (?-1979) had two children. Active in several community organizations, he served on the Community Welfare Planning Council, Targets for Economic Development Commission (1968), Manitoba Public Utilities Board (1968), Manitoba Securities Commission (1969), and Winnipeg Parking Authority. He fundraised for the Salvation Army, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and Progressive Conservative Party. He received a City of Winnipeg Community Service Award (1971).
He died at Winnipeg on 22 January 1986.
