Memorable Manitobans: Herbert Theodore Kletke (1934-2013)Farmer, community activist. Born at Rosenfeld on 20 July 1934, he moved with his family to a farm near Teulon in 1944. He purchased the family farm in 1959 and grew it into a diversified business of farming, seed cleaning, treating, and coating and blending of specialty crops. In recognition of his service to the agricultural community, he received the Robertson Association Award from the Canadian Seed Growers Association (2012) and he and his wife were inducted into the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame (2013). He served on the Teulon Town Council, Volunteer Ambulance Service, and the Teulon and District Handivan Board. He died at Teulon on 3 November 2013.
