Singer.
Born at Winnipeg, daughter of Bertha Reubena Gardner (1884-1961) and Robert Edward Holmes (1882-1961), she enjoyed singing and entertaining and in her early years performed for people throughout Canada and the US. In 1958, she went to New York and Chicago and also spent some time entertaining at the Chalet Hotel in Belmont, Quebec. She had her own radio show at CJOB, “Joyce Clarke Sings.” For many years, she worked with Domtar Paper Limited, and concluded her working career with Manitoba Health Services, retiring in 1987. She was known for her sense of humour and her love of animals. On 1 June 1961, she married Robert Desmond Hepburn (1930-1972) and divorced him in 1966. She had one son. She died at Winnipeg on 14 November 2006.
