Farmer, community activist.
Born at Tyndall on 18 August 1908, he married Lillian Maude Fisher (1914-2003) on 21 June 1935 and they farmed at Hazelridge until 1953, having two daughters and four sons. Then moved to Kelwood where they farmed until retirement in 1969 then settled at Anola in 1980. Active in community affairs, he lead 4H clubs, served as President of the Manitoba Federation of Agriculture (1949-1952), was a Commissioner of the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board (1948-1961) during the period of rural electritication, a director of the Manitoba Honey Co-op and National Honey Board, and a director of the Manitoba Medical Board. He served on the Kelwood School Board and Rossmere School Board, and was a life member of the Kelwood Agricultural Society. He died at Beausejour on 4 January 1984 and was buried in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
