Memorable Manitobans: Henry Platt Grundy (1874-1956)

Lawyer.

Born at Guelph, Ontario in 1874, he came to Manitoba with his parents Charles and Mary Grundy at an early age. He attended St. John’s College and the University of Manitoba, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1901. He joined the firm of Campbell & Crawford, which later became Campbell & Pitblado. He remained with the firm for 52 years and was made a King's Counsel in January 1924. He was a member of the Manitoba Club. He died in 1956 and was buried in the St. John’s Cathedral Cemetery.
