Memorable Manitobans: Joseph Grodecki (1925-2011)

Educator.

Born at Wynyard, Saskatchewan on 12 September 1925, one of eleven children, he attended elementary and Normal School in Saskatchewan. He taught school at various places in Manitoba, including service as the Principal of Hodgson School (1951-1953) and Arden School (1962-1965). In 1967, he moved to Dauphin where he continued teaching until retirement in 1983. The following year, he moved to Brandon. He died at Dauphin on 28 January 2011 and was buried in the Brandon Cemetery.
