Businessman.
Born in Russia on 15 May 1882, he came to Winnipeg in 1904 and established the Winnipeg Cold Storage Company. He was also involved with the Pengold Fox Farm, Gold Grain Company in the Winnipeg Grain Exchange, and an orange plantation in Palestine. During the First World War, he served as a caterer to Military District No. 10 for which he received a gold medal from General H. D. B. Ketchen. He and wife Rebecca ? (?-?) had five children: Allan Gold, Molly Gold, Fanny Gold (1910-?), Sophie Gold, and Ronia Gold. He was a member and patron of the B'nai B'rith, Hebrew Free School, Jewish Old Folks’ Home, Hebrew Sick Benefit Association, and other Jewish charitable organizations. He died at his Winnipeg home, 367 Boyd Avenue, on 25 August 1938 and was buried in the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery.
