Memorable Manitobans: Beryl Iris Copping Gibson (c1932-2010)
Educator.
Born around 1932, daughter of Ethel and Harold Copping, she attended Elm Creek School then taught at Wingham School (1953-1973) and served as its Principal (1967-1973). In 1957, she married Edward Allan “Bud” Gibson (1932-2012). They had no children. She died at Carman on 5 May 2010 and was buried in the Elm Creek Cemetery.
