Memorable Manitobans: Robert “Bob” Gannon (?-2016)Community activist. Born at Timmins, Ontario, he moved to Toronto after high school, receiving a BA degree. After brief stays in Ottawa and Regina, he moved to Winnipeg where he received an MBA from the University of Manitoba. He served as the Campaign and Board Chair for the United Way of Winnipeg, Chairman of the Board of the St. Boniface Hospital, member of the St. Paul’s College Board of Governors, and Honorary Director of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation.
