Cleric.
Born at Clifford, Ontario on 17 January 1882, he attended Wesley College and, after graduation, did missionary work for the Methodist Church in Japan. He returned to Canada in 1923 and served at Griswold United Church (?-?), Miami United Church (1924-1927), Sanford United Church (?-?), Teulon United Church (?-?), and Morris United Church (?-?) before returning to Winnipeg. There, he served at Sparling United Church (?-?), West Kildonan United Church (?-?), and Sturgeon Creek United Church (?-?). In retirement he served as a hospital chaplain. On 28 June 1911, he married Honor Victoria Knott (1893-1964) at Winnipeg and they had a son, Gordon Egerton Fryer (c1916-1975). He was a member of the Oxford Street United Church. He died at the Misericordia Hospital on 9 May 1963 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
