Civil servant.
Born at Bassano, Alberta on 29 September 1964, he obtained his BA in Communications from the University of Ottawa and pursued graduate studies in Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba. He worked first as editor of the Inner City Voice, then as a producer with CBC Radio, and from 1997 to 2008 in a number of senior positions with the NDP and the Government of Manitoba, including chief spokesman for Gary Doer, head of the cabinet communications office, and in 2003, chief of staff for federal NDP leader Jack Layton. He died on 24 August 2008.
