Memorable Manitobans: John J. Fehr (1926-2007)
Businessman.
Born at Neuenberg on 16 April 1926, son of John and Katharina Fehr, he and his wife established John Fehr Insurance, Beaver Bus Lines, and Fehr-Way Tours. In 1996, he suffered a stroke while visiting Israel and, three years later, was admitted to a personal care home in Winnipeg. He died there on 15 November 2007 and was buried in the Glen Eden Memorial Garden.
