Memorable Manitobans: Vernon Russell Falloon (1917-1966)Farmer, municipal official. Born on a farm near Foxwarren on 5 April 1917, son of Arthur Falloon (1883-1945) and Edna Gertrude Cline (1894-1919), he operated the family farm until his death. He was a director of United Grain Growers and was associated wit the Canadian Federation of Agriculture. He was Vice-Chairman of the Manitoba Crop Insurance Corporation since its inception, and was Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Ellice (1960-1966). He was President of the Manitoba Shorthorn Club and Manitoba Cattle Breeders, and a director of the Canadian Shorthorn Breeders. He was a member of the Foxwarren United Church and Foxwarren IOOF Lodge. He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 17 January 1966 and was buried in the Zion United Cemetery.
