Memorable Manitobans: Bertha Maud Patterson Emery (1887-1981)
Educator.
Born at Thornhill on 4 February 1887, daughter of Charles and Jane Patterson, she moved to Winnipeg where, on 25 February 1913, she married Frank E. Emery and had a son, George Emery. She taught (1927-1929) and was the Principal (1929-1945) of Julia Clark School. She died at Winnipeg on 10 November 1981.
