Memorable Manitobans: Adam Cuthand (?-1994)Cleric, community activist. Born near Battleford, Saskatchewan, of Cree ancestry, he served as founding President of the Manitoba Metis Federation (1967-1970) and was a member of the board for the Manitoba Centennial Corporation. In 1970, he received an honorary degree from the University of Winnipeg and a Centennial Medal from the Manitoba Historical Society.
