Memorable Manitobans: Patricia Breton “Pat” Courcelles (1948-2010)

Nurse, community activist.

Born at La Rochelle on 21 April 1948, daughter of Delima Bruneau (1922-2007) and Raymond Breton (1915-1985), she was a nurse for 35 years. She served on the Board of Directors of the Festival du Voyageur and was President of the Franco-Manitoban Society (1993-1997). She also served on various committees to ensure health services in French, locally and across Canada. She died at Winnipeg on 20 September 2010.
