Memorable Manitobans: Elizabeth S. Colwell (?-?)Educator. In 1913, she left a position as Principal of Okanagan College to join the teaching staff of the Winnipeg School Board. She taught English at Kelvin High School until 1927, when she was appointed Supervisor of Primary Grades. In 1930, she was appointed Principal of William Whyte School where she remained until retirement in 1939. She later taught English to people intending to join the Air Force.
