Memorable Manitobans: Andrew George Carter (1872-1925)

Born in Ontario on 10 June 1872, he was the brother-in-law to Donald H. Bain. A noted jeweler in Winnipeg, in 1909 he was a founding member of the Manitoba Association of Optometrists, and a member of the Knights of Pythias. He died suddenly at Winnipeg on 26 April 1925 and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
