Educator, author.
Born at Grandview on 28 December 1902, daughter of Mary Elizabeth Taylor (1882-1959) and William David McVey (1873-1953), on 14 July 1934 she married fisheries manager George Edward Butler (1887-1966) at Grandview. They had no children. In 1970, she received a Manitoba Centennial Medal from the Manitoba Historical Society in recognition of “her many years in the teaching profession in Manitoba, her devotion to her pupils and her contributions in articles and stories to children’s magazines.” She died at Winnipeg on 23 November 2002 and was buried in the Grandview Memorial Gardens.
