Memorable Manitobans: James Douglas Bulgin (1901-1980)

Business executive.

Born on 13 February 1901, he graduated from McGill University (Montreal) and came to Winnipeg where he was resident manager and director of Dominion Securities Limited. He served as President of the Winnipeg Stock Exchange (?) and the Manitoba Club (1960). On 27 June 1931, he married Elva Inez Waldon (1901-1982, daughter of Thomas Leslie Waldon) at Winnipeg. They had no children. He died suddenly at Sea Island, Georgia on 3 March 1980 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
