Businessman, municipal official.
Born at Gretna on 16 July 1883, son of Helena Buhr, he was a General Motors dealer in Gretna for over 30 years, and was also a Justice of the Peace. He was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church, Gretna Chess Club, and a member of the board for the Mennonite Collegiate Institute. He served as Mayor of Gretna from 1938 to 1945. He died at Winnipeg on 29 September 1960 and was buried in the Pine View Memorial Gardens.
