Community activist.
Born at Winnipeg on 22 January 1914, eldest son of Irish immigrants Raymond (William?) Blake-Knox and Teresa Murphy, he published the Grand Beach Spotlight for 30 years and was a Ward 6 councillor for the RM of St. Clements. He also operated Harry's Hide-Out at Grand Marais. On 21 May 1938, he married Florence Elizabeth “Betty” Lester (1915-2006) in the RM of East Kildonan and they had two sons and two daughters. In recognition of his community service, he received a 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation Medal (1992). He died at Pine Falls on 6 January 1998 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery.
