Educator.
Born on 25 December 1929, the third youngest of 12 children, he grew up on the family farm near Cloverleaf. He taught at Victoria Beach School (1950-1951) and Garson School (1955-1960) before serving as the Principal of Springfield Collegiate (?-1979), Radisson School (1979-1982), and Murdoch MacKay Collegiate (?-?). He married artist and teacher Lyla June Ilchena (1931-1984) and they had a daughter and a son. In retirement, he travelled extensively with his adult children and friends. He died at Winnipeg on 28 January 2025 and was buried with his wife in the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery at Beausejour.
