Memorable Manitobans: Ralph Dennis Bagley (1928-2017)Sportswriter. Born at Winnipeg on 6 January 1928, son of Jack and Hazel Bagley, he was a sportswriter for the Winnipeg Tribune and Winnipeg Free Press, covering golf, curling, and alpine skiing. He was editor of Golf Manitoba Journal, on the selection committee for the Labatt Manitoba Amateur Golfer of the Year Award, and President of the Manitoba and Canadian Curling Reporters. He was inducted into the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame (2007). In 1957, he married golfer June Irene Baker. He died at Winnipeg on 17 July 2017.
