Journalist, broadcaster.
Born around 1942, daughter of Irene and Jack Little, she grew up in McCreary where her parents operated a pharmacy. After receiving a BA degree from United College, in 1960 she moved to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She married Terry J. Partridge of Winnipeg in 1966 and they moved to London, England where she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. They later returned to Canada and she received a degree in journalism from Carleton University (c1968).
She began a career in print journalist at the Ottawa Citizen before returning to Winnipeg to join the Winnipeg Free Press (1975-1979). She later hosted an open line program on CJOB Radio (1979-1985). She served as the first female President of the Winnipeg Press Club (1984).
After divorcing around 1977, she married fellow journalist Jim Armit and they had two children and moved to Regina, Saskatchewan. In 1987, she founded the media monitoring company Newswatch Canada. She retired in 2020 and moved to Killarney with her partner Terry Loftus.
She died on 8 May 2024.
