Memorable Manitobans: Charles Nicholas Argue (1904-1991)

Municipal official.

Born in the RM of Louise on 19 July 1904, son of Nicholas Argue and Mary Cavanagh, he served as Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Roblin from 1950 to 1974 and, in 1960 and 1961, he was President of the Union of Manitoba Municipalities. He served on the Projects Approval Committee of the Manitoba Centennial Corporation. He died at Killarney on 18 March 1991 and was buried in the Mather Cemetery.
