Soccer organizer.
Born in Fraserburgh, Scotland on 23 June 1890, he came to Canada in 1909 and played soccer for clubs across Manitoba. He served with the Winnipeg Rifles in the First World War. After the war he became secretary of the Manitoba Minor Soccer Association, Manitoba Senior Soccer Association, and Canadian Soccer Football Association. He was employed by the Veterans’ Press in Winnipeg. After the Second World War he organized Canadian tours by European soccer teams for the Dominion Football Association. He was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame (1973) and the Order of the Buffalo Hunt (1973). He is a member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. He died on 30 May 1985.
