Memorable Manitobans: William James Douglas Allum (1917-1992)

Hockey player.

Born in the Winnipeg neighborhood of Elmwood, Allum attended Lord Selkirk School. He played professional hockey for many years, including a stint with the New York Rangers in their 1940 Stanley Cup season. Allum also played lacrosse for several Mann Cup teams. He coached several sports after retirement.
