Real estate agent.

Born in Eyrecourt Parish, Ireland on 26 June 1877, son of John Alexander Abbott and Eugenie Sophia Sharks, he came to Canada in 1903 and worked as a financial and real estate agent at Winnipeg. In the early days of the First World War, he enlisted in the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles at Brandon. Shipped overseas, he was wounded in action at Vimy Ridge in early 1917 and returned to Canada in mid-1918. He died at Toronto, Ontario on 27 November 1932 following an automobile accident and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
