Educator.
Born at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on 14 June 1931, only child of Evelyn and Delphen Schoneck, she graduated from the Gull Lake High School then received a teaching certificate from the Moose Jaw Teachers' College. She then taught in a one-room school south of Gull Lake. In 1953, she married Barry Frank Wolstencroft (1928-1990) and they had three children, including Nancy Jill Wolstencroft Tardiff. After moves to Assiniboia and Regina, the family ended up in Winnipeg in 1959. She returned to teaching in 1963 at Dr. F. W. L. Hamilton School, initially as a grade 4 teacher, then as Principal (1965-1983). Upon early retirement in 1983, she and her husband moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where he worked in the hail insurance industry. In 1999, after the death of her husband, she returned to Manitoba and settled at Stonewall. She died on 4 November 2022.
