Memorable Manitobans: Thomas H. Whale (c1867-1947)Municipal official. Born in Ontario, he came to Manitoba in 1896 and resided in Winnipegosis from 1897 to the end of his life. He served on the local school board from 1899 to 1946, and Mayor of Winnipegosis from 1917 to 1919. He was a member of the Masons and the Presbyterian Church.
