Memorable Manitobans: Bartholemi Joseph “Bert” Vandersteen (1926-2013)
Municipal official.
Born at Fisher Branch on 10 October 1926, third of 12 children of Josephine and John Vandersteen, he farmed and worked at a variety of jobs. He served as a local school board trustee and was Reeve for the Rural Municipality of Fisher (1987-1995). He died at Fisher Branch on 1 July 2013.
