Merchant, municipal official.

Born at Smiths Falls, Ontario on 26 March 1857, brother of William T. Storey, he came to Manitoba in 1880 and settled at Wawanesa where he operated a general store. He served as Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Oakland in 1905. He and wife Hannah Avison (1857-1943) had five children: Roland Avison Story (1890-1967), Mary Elizabeth Story (1891-?, wife of O. J. Thomas), Gladys Victoria Story (1895-?, wife of Dr. Edison Cunningham), Evelyn Sykes Story (1896-1999, wife of Sherwood Lett), and John Boyd Story (1898-1955). He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1910, returning five years later. He sold his business interests in 1922 and, for two years prior to his retirement, he was a superintendent of the Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company. He returned to Vancouver in late 1928 and died there on 8 February 1930. He was buried in Vancouver.
