Farmer.
Born at Flat River, Michigan in 1909, his family moved to Amaranth in 1912 and the area near Portage la Prairie in 1919. In 1942, he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England, Belgium, Holland, France, and Germany. After his discharge in 1946 he returned to farming. He started one of the first U-Pick strawberry farms in the Portage area, was instrumental in forming the Strawberry Growers Association of Manitoba and was its President for many years. He died at Portage la Prairie on 19 August 2003.
