Educator.
Born at Souris on 23 February 1942, daughter of Laurie M. Armstrong and Robert E. Dixon, she attended Souris School and the Brandon Teachers’ College and initially worked locally as a telephone operator. She taught in several rural school districts including Great Falls School (1967-1970, Principal 1968-1970). On 27 November 1965, she married John Sokalski at the Knox United Church in Souris. They took up residence at Stonewall and had two children, later living at Pine Falls, Flin Flon, Treherne, and Portage la Prairie. She died at Portage la Prairie on 28 July 2013.
