Memorable Manitobans: Margaret J. Smith (c1879-1960)

Community activist.

She served as President of the Winnipeg Council of Women and Vice-President of the YWCA and Women’s Canadian Club of Winnipeg. She was a member of Crescent-Fort Rouge United Church. She died at Winnipeg on 31 July 1960 and was buried in Brookside Cemetery.
