Memorable Manitobans: Wally Shibata (1929-2002)

Draftsman, social activist.

He served extensively with the Mantoba Japanese Citizen's Association, writing for 24 years with the monthly Outlook newspaper and serving as President of the Association. He also volunteered with the Knox A.O.T.S. Men's Club of Knox United Church, serving as secretary and with the Citizenship Council of Manitoba, serving as vice-president. He worked as a draftsman with the IM Architectural group for over thirty years.
