Memorable Manitobans: Gwladys Mary “Banky” Rutherford (1878-1961)
Actor.
Little is known of her early background. “Banky”, as she was always called, was first lady of the Winnipeg theatre for many years, and well-known to audiences in Winnipeg and across Canada through her appearances on the CBC.
