Memorable Manitobans: Patrick H. Rice (1852-?)
Malter. Born at Wrexford, Ireland on 9 September 1852, son of William Rice and Mary Furlong, he attended Elgin College and Notre Dame University. He came to Manitoba in 1910 where he established the Rice Malting Company of Canada. On 5 August 1887, he married Mary J. Walsh (?-?, daughter of John B. Walsh).
