Memorable Manitobans: William “Wolfe” Rabin (1907-?)

Inventor.

Born Wolfe Rabinovitch at Morden on 21 January 1907, son of David Rabinovitch (1865-?) and Sophia Kluner (1875-?), he invented a jukebox but was ultimately sued by David Cullen Rockola. His nephew wrote a biography entitled Jukebox Empire - The Mob and the Dark Side of the American Dream (2023).
