Memorable Manitobans: John Potts (?-1764)Surgeon. He came to the Hudson Bay in 1738, serving with the Hudson's Bay Company first at York Factory and then at Moose Factory. He later was a factor on the East Main coast, where he found few furs and proved a failure. In 1761 he returned to Fort Prince of Wales as surgeon. More information:
