Memorable Manitobans: Marie-Laure Delorme Perron (1923-2024)

Community activist.

Born at St. Joseph on 22 January 1923, eldest daughter of Laura Dionne and Edmond Delorme, she attended St. Joseph School before marrying Jean-Louis Perron (1918-2004) and having seven children. She and her husband founded the St. Joseph Museum for which she received the Prix Riel (2001). In retirement she moved to St. Malo in 2003. She died at St-Pierre-Jolys on 23 April 2024.
