Nun, educator.
Born in the Rural Municipality of Pembina on 6 January 1903, daughter of Esdras Joseph Payette (1881-1957) and Mary Josephine Gauthier Landreville (1883-1960), she joined the Sisters of Sion [Sisters of the Saviour], serving for 66 years as as a nurse’s aide, gardener, cook, seamstress, and Sister Superior. She saw service at Notre Dame de Lourdes and neighbouring missions, as well as in St. Boniface and Fort Garry, the latter where she was the Superior / Principal of St. Maurice School (1958-1961). She also worked outside the province at Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan and Sherbrooke, Quebec. She died at Foyer Notre Dame in Notre Dame de Lourdes on 25 October 1989 and was buried in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Cemetery.
