Memorable Manitobans: John Parobec (1928-2003)

Farmer, athlete.

Born on 12 July 1928, he farmed and raised cattle and horses before working in a series of jobs in the agriculture industry. He played, coached and managed baseball and hockey teams, for which he was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame. He died on 18 December 2003 and was buried in the Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery at Angusville.
