Memorable Manitobans: Theresa Marie Mordue (?-2003)


She was Manitoba water skiing champion for six years and came second in the trick skiing event at the Canadian Championships. She was a two-time Canadian snowmobile champion and competed in equestrian events in the 1975 and 1979 Western Canada Games. She was a member of the Manitoba Springfield Hunt and Winnipeg Horseman’s Club and her horse Topaz won seven Canadian Equestrian Federation awards as hunter. She moved to Langley, British Columbia in 1980 and medaled in golf at the 2000, 2001 and 2002 at the British Columbia Senior games. She died at Langley on 5 June 2003.
