Cleric, educator.
Born at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on 5 August 1906, son of James Monaghan and Minnie Curran, he entered the Jesuit order in 1926 and was ordained as a priest in August 1939, taking his final vows in August 1943. He served as the Principal of St. Paul's High School (1948-1971) during which time he took a special interest in athletics, particularly the Crusader football team. He died at Toronto, Ontario on 3 June 1997 and was buried at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Toronto.
